We have acknowledged the important and vital contribution of the National Lottery Players to the success of the Project by:
- The 'Funding raised by the National Lottery and awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund' construction board was installed at the entrance to the churchyard as soon as we received it in August 2017 after being granted the award.
- Every poster, leaflet and flyer produced has had the white and blue 'Heritage Lottery Fund-Lottery Funded' included.
- Every event inside and outside the church has had the large blue 'Heritage Lottery Fund-Lottery Funded' sign prominently displayed, and has been included in all photographic records. These have been sent, with reports acknowledging the Players to the local press.
- Local Radio, Black Cat, interviewed our Vicar several times and she always thanked the National Lottery Players, as well as mentioning them in various services and events.
The role of National Lottery Players was especially emphasised at the Bell Dedication Service in October 2018 with the Bishop of Ely.
Extensive reports and photographs of the project have been included in every edition of:
The Quartet, the monthly newsletter of the Benefice which includes Great Paxton; The Paxton Post, a free newsletter for Great Paxton Village delivered monthly to every house.Throughout the Project there have been many changing displays as work progressed and they have always included 'Thank You, the National Lottery' sign.
Equipment bought with Lottery funding has also included the logo, i.e. the CCTV recorder, screen, and display boards.
The perspex plaque 'Heritage Lottery Fund - Lottery Funded' is installed as a permanent acknowledgement to the National Lottery Players in the church. The new church guide acknowledges the support and assistance of the 'Heritage Lottery Fund' in the Bell Project.
And finally, the official website and linked Facebook page of the benefice, extensively thank the National Lottery Players in every related post and update.
We feel we have extensively commended the fact that the Heritage Lottery Fund made this wonderful project possible and are grateful to all players who contribute to the fund.
