LEARN TO RING THE BELLS
Meet people, have fun & get fit!
Here is the lin to this weeks' virtual Sunday Service for the seventeenth sunday following Trinity, 4th october 2020. This week we are celebrating Harvest and focusing on Harvest thanksgiving. The idea of this service is that you can listen to it before having food during any of the traditional harvest days as it helps us to see the fruitfulness of God's creation.
Here is the link to this week's virtual service for Sunday 27th September 2020. This week's Sunday worship is for the sixteenth sunday following Trinity and focuses on St Paul's letter to the Philippians, Chapter 2 - 'Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others'.
A very big thank you to Ursula from her home in Great Paxton where, she not only kindly reads the Gospel taken from Matthew Chapter 21, but also takes a few moments to give us her thoughts on the passage she has read.
This sunday at Great Paxton Church we will be remembering Philip Cardell, an RAF Pilot who lost his life in the Battle of Britain, 80 years ago on 27th September 1940. Since moving to their new home, The Manor House, once owned by the Cardell family, Ursula and her family have taken great trouble to learn as much as they can about the Cardell family and their home which is situated next to Great Paxton Church.
Ursula and her family have kindly helped with the refurbishment of Philip's memorial, which is very much appreciated. Oh and finally, thank you to dog Milo!
This weeks' Sunday worship from Annette is for the fifteenth sunday following Trinity and is about God's generosity with the gospel reading from Matthew Chapter 20 vs 1-6. See the link below for the service:
This weeks' Sunday service from Annette is for the fourteenth sunday following Trinity which focuses on forgiveness with the gospel reading from Matthew Chapter 18 vs 21-35. Sincere thanks to Graham James who kindly talks to Annette about the memorial for Philip Cardell, a brave RAF pilot who died on 27 September 1940 when his plane fell into the sea at Folkestone. Philip Cardell's memorial is in Great Paxton Churchyard. Here is the link to the service:
