LEARN TO RING THE BELLS
Meet people, have fun & get fit!
Here is the YouTube service for the fourth sunday of advent. Annette is joined by Charles Hutchings playing carols on his trumpet, Kalu Robinson singing the very emotional song 'Mary Did You Know' and Councillor Jean Matheson reading from the first passage of Luke's gospel. Thank you so much to Charles, Kalu and Jean.
This Sunday's YouTube service for the third sunday in Advent and this week Annette is joined by Kathy Bishop, who kindly sings for us, and the wonderful Stuart McCarthy on the organ - a big thank you to both.
At St James CHurch we have a monthly '100 Club' draw and there are still spaces available to join. For just £5 a month members can support St James Church and also have the chance to win prizes! There are four prizes each month (£80, £50, £30, £20) and then there are six in the December Grand Draw (£500, £250, £125, £75, £25, £25). Proceeds are used to support the maintenance of St James Church. To join, or for more information, please contact Helen Young on 01480 216255 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
This Sunday's YouTube service is for the second sunday of Advent when Annette lights the first of two advent candles and tells the Christmas story (and there are photos - you may recognise some folks!) To join Annette for another enjoyable service see the link below:
Here is the link for this weeks' Sunday service on 22nd November 2020. This week features Annette with organist Stuart McCarthy in Little Paxton Church exploring the theme of Christ the King Sunday. Please note there will be no virtual service next week (29th November) but Annette will return on Sunday 6th December (when we will hopefully return to services in Church) with Advent /Christmas themed services.
This week we are very fortunate to have been given permission to record our service at St Hugh's Roman Catholic Church at Buckden. Annette has a very special reason for filming at St Hugh's church - many of us know she has a keen interest in local history and this week she enlightens us with the wonderful story of St Hugh, Bishop of Lincoln.
As well as expressing our thanks to the parish priests of Buckden Towers for giving their kind permission to allow us to film inside St Hugh's church, we are extremely grateful to Ann Brittain (Licensed Lay Minister from Buckden) for assisting Annette with the reading, prayers, the story of St Hugh of Lincoln and for telling us about the beautiful stained glass windows.
