The Bell Project is now up and running, being made possible by National Lottery Funding and other grant making bodies and generous private donations.

The first piece of work was introducing electrics and lighting to every level of the tower so that when work commences, it can be done safely. This has been carried out by Darnells from Huntingdon.

We now have a date when the new bell will be cast and the tenor bell recast at John Taylor, bell-hangers of Loughborough. The date set is Thursday, April 26^th 2018.  In the next edition, we shall give details of the trip that will be organised from the village to Loughborough that day by coach.

We still await the starting date when the bells will be taken out of the tower and onto trucks to take them to Loughborough.

There is opportunity to sponsor a headstock and have a personal inscription running across the top. The suggested donation is £200.00 or £300.00 depending on the size of the text.  Do let Annette know if you are interested.
