LEARN TO RING THE BELLS
Meet people, have fun & get fit!
This week we are celebrating St James the Greater, Patron Saint of Little Paxton Church, for the eighth week following Trinity. This week Annette interviews Catherina Griffiths from St Neots who is a keen bell ringer and traveller and she tells us about her memories of her journey to Santiago de Compostella (believed to be the birth place of St James). Catherina also kindly reads the Gospel this week taken from Matthew Chapter 20 vs 20-28.
Here is our weekly virtual service for Sunday 18th July 2021. Annette is joined this week by Jen Butcher who tells us about the fund raising she and her brother Leslie are doing next weekend for 'Charlotte's Tandems' - a charity which provides specialist tendem and tag along bikes for youngsters that are physically unable, for whatever reason, to ride a bike. If you would like to donate to this charity please click on the link below or contact Anita Bailey directly on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (Jen and leslie are her children!)
This week is the sixth Sunday after Trinity and is the parable of the Good Samaritan from the Gospel Luke 10 vs 25-37, which is kindly read by Sarah Crombie from Great Paxton. Gertie Guitar gets an airing too! Enjoy!
Here is our YouTube service for this week, Sunday 4th July 2021. This is the fifth sunday following Trinity, and it includes Pam and Dave Dodman at the History Show in Diddington Church. Pam also kindly read the gospel this week which comes from Mark Chapter 6 vs 1-13 when Jesus returned to his home town and was rejected by the people he grew up with.
This week we have a very special service which includes our Bishop of Ely, The Right Reverend Bishop Stephen Conway who confirmed four candidates at Diddington Church this week (23rd June). Follow the link below to join our worship for the fourth Sunday after Trinity. During the service we have a 'pop-up' choir who sing for the confirmation service - big thank you to Kathy Bishop, and singers from both St Neots Jewels and the choir from Buckden who helped make the evening even more special. Thank you also to Jean Matheson who shares her thoughts on her own confirmation.
