Daily/weekly musings from our Vicar....
Thinking about Captain Tom.....
A message from her Majesty
"'The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave his followers new hope and fresh purpose and we can all take heart from this. As dark as death can be, particularly for those suffering with grief, light and life are greater'. The Queen today speaks powerfully of Easter hope and light. As her Majesty says, in this dark and difficult time, the good news of Christ's resurrection is our guide."
Our Easter weekends in our four churcches would usually be a hive of activity. We would have been having an Easter celebration in Southoe, a CHildren's Party in Little Paxton, and our usual quirky Easter celebration in Diddington. Final touches would be put to flower decorations with a good sweep up. Easter gardens would be ready.
We hope that by various online means and phone calls we can still wish people a very peaceful and safe Easter and completely understand why churches need to be closed. We have been looking to photos from past Easter celebrations. Archives are useful and even more so at the moment. We hope you have a wonderful Easter and we hope we are all together again very soon.
Welcome to our third edition of 'Keeping in Touch' for 2020 Easter Day. We hope you have had a lovely weekend in these interesting times. Best wishes!
