LEARN TO RING THE BELLS
Meet people, have fun & get fit!
Take a walk with the Vicar around Great Paxton Churchyard. Recorded yesterday before the lockdown measures. Annette was hoping to record a Sunday service for Great Paxton in the church but unfortunately the church now has to stay locked up. She will be setting up a recording kit in the Vicarage instead!

Great Paxton Community Shop will remain open for four hours per day:
8am to 10am and 3pm to 5pm daily (Sun 8-10am). This will limit the number of people serving.
We ask that only one customer at a time enters the shop. Please stand off the ramp is a customer is already in the shop and wait for them to leave. If there are any customers already waiting - please stand 2 metres apart. We ask you to wash your hands before you enter the shop.
We are still accepting telephone orders (218624) between 9am and 12 Noon for those who cannot get to the shop - but bear with us. We will do all we can to fulfil your orders and have them ready for collection or delivery during the 3-5pm shift.
We are doing all we can to be there for you - Please support us if you can.
As I am sure you are aware, the situation concerning the Covid-19 virus is rapidly changing. Here we want to keep you as updated as possible and please do continue to check back on here or keep checking our facebook page for regular updates:

Based on directives from the Church of England, we regret that we have had to take the decision to cancel/postpone all our regular church activities. We have also now been directed to cancel all regular Sunday worship. We are in an unprecedented position at the moment and we want to keep our church alive by becoming virtual! We will be posting information but also thoughts on faith, particularly on our facebook page. We are hoping to be back up and running as soon as we are able.
(If you know of anyone that does not have access to social media or the internet please direct them to the contact numbers below if they need help. There is also a facebook group concerning helping vulnerable people in Little Paxton. There are also similar groups in all of our Villages)

Thank you and God Bless!
How can we grow to become more like Christ? Is it just a matter of keeping rules or is there a better way? This collection of reflections on Christian life and growth explores each aspect f the fruit of the spirit in turn, showing how it applies to our lives, what it might mean to us, and how we can travel and work together with God to grow more of it. Each section also ends with a range of different practical acitivities to help you build on the reflections and explore for yourself, and there is suggested further reading. Come on a journey of Christian growth and discover how to live a more fruitful life.
Mel Eyeons is a Licensed Lay Minister, currently an integral part of the team at St James' Church in Little Paxton and much valued member of the Benefice ministry team. She has written a book which is currently available to purchase from Amazon and there are also copies available from Church on request. Hopefully when we are able to reorganise, Mel will be giving a talk about her book.
