Here is our Palm Sunday Services - the beginning of Holy Week.....The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed, shouted: 'Hosanna to the Son of David' Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
This week, in her mid-week fortnightly worship, Mel looks at the Annunciation (celebrated on the 25th March each year - the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a son by the power of the Holy Spirit and who was to be called Jesus). This week's newsletter is for Passion Sunday - fifth sunday in Lent. Annette reflects on the wonderful words of hope that Jesus' touch can call us back to life again.
This weeks' service is for the fifth sunday in Lent - Passion Sunday. Our service is based on the gospel reading from John's Gospel Chapter 12 vs 20-33 'I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.'
Annette is joined by the wonderful Stuart McCarthy on the organ and also reads the gospel for us. We are also fortunate to have Kathy Bishop to sing 'Now the Green Blade Riseth' - a hymn written by Rev John Crum who based his writing on Jesus' words in John's Gospel passage.
