This week we are thinking about St Aidan who is remembered on 31st August (he died on 31st August 651 AD). St Aiden founded the monastery at Lindisfarne (or Holy Island) in Northumbria and was known as a kind and gentle monk and bishop.

This weeks' newsletter is for the twelfth sunday after Trinity. Our Gospel reading this week is from Luke, Chapter 13 vs 10-17 when Jesus sets free a woman who had lived for 18 years with a bent back.
Naturally we are concerned and worried about the situation in Afghanistan and we take the opportunity in our service to say some prayers for this ongoing situation and for those in our emergency services.
This weeks' YouTube service is for the twelfth sunday following Trinity with the theme of 'to the rescue'.

Annette is back with our regular YouTube service and this week it is mostly filmed outside Holy Trinity Minster Church in Great Paxton. Our service celebrates Jesus' mother, Mary, and also focuses on 'Caring for our creation'. This week also features Trevor Gunton who talks with enthusiasm about Paxton Pits and how he wants to encourage more visitors to appreciate this wonderful nature reserve we are so lucky to have on our doorstep.
